JEAN SMART

Jean Smart nasceu em 13 de Setembro de 1951, em Seattle, Washington. Seu papel pelo qual é mais conhecida é o da perturbada Primeira-Dama Martha Logan em 24 Horas, atuação que lhe rendeu uma indicação de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em Drama no Emmy de 2006. Atualmente trabalha na série Samantha Who? ao lado de Christina Applegate.

Ela estrelou como Charlene Frazier Stillfield em Designing Women, de 1986 a 1991; emprestou sua voz para dublar Kim Possible de 2002 a 2004; era do elenco principal da sitcom Center of the Universe, com John Goodman. Recentes aparições no cinema incluem filmes como O Garoto, da Disney, Doce Lar, A Casa Caiu, com Steve Martin e Queen Latifah, e Garden State. Ela também fez a voz de Pickles Oblong em The Oblongs.

É casada com o ator Richard Gilliland, que ela conheceu trabalhando no filme Designing Women, com quem teve um filho, Connor. É formada na Ballard High School, onde começou a se apaixonar por atuar.
